| Rudder
If you're building a Didi Mini you'll want to get your foils from Phil. Shown here is the rudder - you'll need two! Price (each): Price as shown is for Dudley Dix's standard design of eglass laminate over a red cedar core. Want to save a bit of weight? Add $250 for foam leading and trailing edges, and carbon fiber laminate. The pair shown here are going all the way to South Africa. Awlgrip finish on the heads, and epoxy primer on the wetted sections. At far right is a carbon tiller also done for a DidiMini. |

Here are two rudders from a batch of six that went to Italy. Laminated in eglass over red cedar.

Here's a set for a Zero built to the customer's specifications of longer chord length / shorter aspect ratio. Delivered laminated but not faired or painted. Carbon over foam with a cedar stringer.

Great care is taken when jigging up the gudgeons to keep everything centered and spaced correctly.

Below is a set of rudder cores from a French design (drawings provided by the customer); milled out of western red cedar - he'll be taking them from here to completion.

The same rudders later came back for a retro-fit to carbon fiber gudgeons:

This project was something a bit different: the customer wanted a 1/10th scale model of the mini he was building (to be used as a promotional tool at boatshows). Milled out of corecell, its shown here in primer (next to the 3d cad drawing he sent me)
