| Rudder
This design came from a customer who wanted his beat up GP14 rudder duplicated. The design is flat sided with shaped leading and trailing edges, 19mm thickness. The core is red cedar, with a tapered layup of eglass (more layers at the waterline than at the tip). The head was made slightly thicker to avoid the need for shims in the customer's headstock. Hello Phil,
Recieved my new rudder today, thanks for returning the old one. The new rudder is great, a little wet sand and off I go. We just finished the boat. center board needs dressing, a couple hours till put up or shut up. You've done everything you could to make this process go smoothly. I appreciate that your time estimates were realistic, and you deliver what you promise. The rudder portion off the project is a high point. Thanks again. Include the rudder in the standard design area, There are a lot of these still being raced in Britain 170 at the recent worlds in Abersoch Wales. And still a few around here.
